The Four Quarters

The Four Quarters

Spring leaves twitch LIFE in lush showers;
  fragile beads moist-fragrant
     fa
       ll
         groundwards
     soaKing earth.

            high
Birds swOOp on blue summer days,
                high,
  they swOOp so
  breaking new sky with wing-flap
that tires, they plu at dusk
		      nge
           earthwards
  to roost.

Languid clouds mock an autumn sun,
      high
 laze with the wind
to the horizon’s edge, and disappear.

Winter snows pay homage in flurr
                              rry,
 glisten crisply in mantle,
 thaw swiftly in pour,
                 down
 rounding off all

 in all,
 these, full circle four,
 that give earth time....

.....Our Time.
